Default gauging interest

I’ve had a few people show interest in adding a little more bass to the stock system or even upgrading the complete system but don’t want to add a bunch of extra weight or take up a ton of space. With that being said, I’m working on a box design that will utilize a single “efficient” 8” driver in a small ported box. The over all box will be just over a cubit foot of space and probably way around 20 pounds. By utilizing a quality sub and tuning the box to the proper frequency, I expect to get very good bass response from such a small package (insert "that's what she said" joke here).

Before I continue further, I’d like to see just how many people would be interested in such a set up. I will price it out with just the sub and box or with amp options for those that want a turn-key set up.

If we get a decent number, I might consider a group discount.

I would like to have some more bass in my truck. I was told the Bose system was a PITA to work around tho, and I don't have much room under the rear seat.

I can get an adapter that will allow us to run an aftermarket amp and retain the stock Bose system. Yes, it's a little more complicated but nothing that can't be done. Once I get the exact specs on the box I'll post up the information. It probably won't happen until sometime after Christmas.

From other boxes I've seen for your model truck they have 5.5" mounting depth...I bet Brandon won't have a problem with that for an 8" driver and .5ft^3 space . I'd like to hear one of these setups once he gets one done. I might switch from my sealed 10" (under seat of crew cab ford with 5.25" mounting depth) to a ported 8" if I like it better I'll be in on this deal!
