Default '02 suburban, fueling/running issue

Running rough, barely goes 30mph.

Only pulling 40psi at the rail. If we disconnected vac from the regulator pressure went up to 50psi. system did not hold pressure after shutting the motor off. There was no fuel in or around the regulator.

Checked fuse and relay, both good, New filter this morning.

We're told this narrows it down to the fuel pump.

So we dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump.

Upon reinstallation pressure with new pump was bumped to 45psi, drawing 12 amps now as oppose to 9.2, and nothing else has changed. Pressure still drops with rev. Still runs like hell, barely idles.

Pulling codes PO101 and PO300. We're assuming MAF now but what else could it be?

I knew what the codes were. We replaced the MAF and spark plugs today and the PO101 has gone away, but the run condition is otherwise unchanged and we still get multiple instances of PO300.

try unplugging the coils and or spark plug wires to see if you can find it that way

The right catalytic converter was at least 90% plugged. Left was maybe 15~20%.

They've had a failing fuel pump for a long time. It was causing some hard starts. So every time they started a cold engine it was going a little lean. Then, on Monday, their MAF failed and they limped it home from Abilene.

I hate cats. Had one come loose on my truck in high school. If the junk got pushed to the back and plugged it up, it wouldn't start.
